Lawrence Badman is a practice educator for the adult social care team at Livewell Southwest, a social enterprise providing community care and health services in Plymouth.

He embarked on his social work career in 2005 and loves his job as much now as he did when he started. He has always been interested in making social work education as useful and practical as possible.

Did you know that people from the LGBT+ community are more likely to experience self-harm, use alcohol and drugs and be more likely to attempt suicide? Over the last few months, Lawrence Badman of LiveWell Southwest, a social enterprise community service in Plymouth, has been undertaking literature review of the latest research around LGBT+ issues and how they relate to health, social care - and social work specifically.
