"The first NCAS conference since the General Election looks set to be packed with discussion and debate around many of the important changes and opportunities coming to the adult and children’s social care sectors," says Izzi Seccombe, Councillor and Chair of the Local Government Association (LGA) Community Wellbeing Board.

The hope of the LGA is that the Spending Review, announced next month, will address the critical need for funding that will go some way towards addressing the funding gap, particularly in adult social care.

With an estimated one million elderly people not having their needs met, and the demand for children’s services rising rapidly, these pressures are in need of relief both in terms of funding and the way they operate. Transformation, and designing the best local solutions, will be the way to continue providing the highest possible quality of care to society’s most vulnerable members.

The NCAS conference offers the space and time for all the best minds, in health, care and all the related services, to come together and progress that journey to an improved offer for our communities.
