Shakiesha Beckford is Brent’s WRES Programme Manager. Her background of study is sociology, and she is passionate about issues related to poverty, deprivation, race and crime.
For her, the WRES has provided local authorities with a unique opportunity to shine a light on the inequalities that minority ethnic groups experience in the workplace and quicken the pace of change in achieving racial equality.
