Alison King became a qualified nurse in 1982 and having worked in the NHS over six years, she moved into the private sector in 1988.

She has been a hospital manager at Cygnet St Williams’, neuropsychiatric service in Darlington offering care and treatment to people with a progressive neurological disease and acquired brain injuries, since January 2019.
