NCAS 2014: our DH schedule at a glance

Posted by: , Posted on: - Categories: Events

It’s going to be busy!

Building on a successful presence last year, we are boasting no less than eight main conference sessions, two breakfast meetings and two Care Act focused ‘meet and greet the experts’ events.

Care Act implementation, supporting the sector in the reform and delivery of better care, and improved mental health service provision are the common themes running through our sessions.

This year’s National children and adult services (NCAS) conference 2014 conference takes place at the Manchester Central Conference Centre, opening with registration at 8.30am on Wednesday 29 October, closing with lunch at 12.30 on Friday 31 October.

The DH lounge (and coffee machine) makes a welcome return.

The lure of caffeine and a comfy seat aside, we hope you’ll use our space for discussion, debate, networking and nattering. We’re designated E30 in your conference programme, so please come and say hello.

This year, Jeremy Hunt Secretary of State for Health, Norman Lamb Minister for Care and Support are joined on the conference platform by Eric Pickles Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, Nicky Morgan Secretary of State for Education and Edward Timpson Minister for Children.

Our Director General for Social Care Jon Rouse will also be speaking and participating in additional conference events across the three days.
