Care Act consultation: one week to go

Posted by: , Posted on: - Categories: Care and support, News

With just one week to go before the Care Act 2014 consultation closes on 15 August, we’re very pleased to confirm an impressive level of interest and engagement from the sector. Online submissions have sailed past 471 and nearly 2,800 written or emailed contributions amount to an impressively broad range of views.

But with seven days left to go we still want more! Your thoughts, opinions and concerns remain as valuable as ever to help us make the Act’s implementation as effective as possible. The more comprehensive and varied the pool of experience and expertise, the more we can fine tune the regulations and guidance.

If you haven’t done so already visit this link for background and links to the consultation. Jon Rouse, our Director General for Social Care, Local Government and Care Partnerships’ blog on the subject also remains a compelling spur to action for those of you yet to contribute.

The deadline is 15 August 2014. If you have a view, this consultation gives you a voice – so put it on record and help make a difference.
